If you enjoy cooking
and baking then this is a great scale to have in your kitchen. It is super
thin and super light. The design is modern and elegant. It is so lightweight
and portable you can carry it from one side of your kitchen to another with no
problem. One of the things I really love about it is that the scale is easy to
read. I am in that 40-something age range and my eyes are not as sharp as they
used to be. I appreciate that I don't have to struggle to read this scale at
all. It has been very accurate for me. I need that when I am baking. If the
ingredients are off even a hare you know your baked items are toast. This Surpah's tempered glass kitchen scale has a TARE
feature which lets you easily put the measuring cup on the scale and zeros it

I notice that so
many recipes these days also use grams. I just saw an interesting recipe
this past week in the New York Times Wednesday food edition that needed precise
measurements and used grams. I can do a recipe like that now with this
amazing scale. I like that this scale measures grams, ounces and pounds
and it switches back and forth with one little touch. That makes it super easy
to use. I was surprised that it also measures milliliters and fluid
ounces which is also helpful for baking. That TARE function is also
very nice...you can put a huge measuring cup or bowl on the scale and use the
TARE to set the scale to zero right before you add your ingredients.
The tempered glass
cleans very easily and measures about 8" X 7". I love that
